글렌알라키 신테이스 파트2

근래 마셔본 글렌알라키 제품중에서 가장 만족도가 높은,
글렌알라키 신테이스 시리즈2 2015.

2015증류 2025 병입이지만 10년을 못채웠기에 9년 숙성제품으로 표기되있음.

도수는 58.2도로 전작대비 약0.4도로 큰 차이는 없지만
파트2는 최애 올로로쏘 조합이였기에 보틀 구매결정.

심지어 케이스도 스코틀랜드 디자이너가 기획했다던데 케이스 가운데 버진오크의 나무기둥과 가지가 묘한 색상으로 어우러져 형상화 되어있어서 케이스만보고도 사고싶은 욕심 뿜뿜☺️

글렌알라키 우드피니쉬 제품들중에 올로로쏘 우드피니쉬 제품도 상당히 만족스러웠던것도 보틀구매를 맘먹은 이유중 하나였을것 같다.

노즈는 9년 숙성에 58.2도를 담은 것치고는 기분나쁜 부즈는 없지만 살짝 매큼쓰한편.
초반엔 꾸덕한 베리류 향이 바로 치고들어오고 잔에 담아놓고 시간이 지날수록 오히려 버진오크의 바닐라의 향이 더 두드러지게 남는다.

팔렛에서는 달큼쌉싸름한 초콜릿과 스파이시가 균형을 이루는데, 제품 이름때문에 가스라이팅 당한건지는 모르겠지만 밸런스가 나쁘지 않음.

다만 도수가 좀만 더 낮았거나, 숙성년수를 좀만 더 가져갔으면 어땠을까 하는 개인적인 아쉬움이있음.

밸런스 측면에선 스파이시한 면이 조금 더 짙은 느낌.
그래도 뭐 이정도 가격에 이맛이라면 충분히 수긍할수있음.

피니쉬는 노즈,팔렛에서 밀어부치는 힘에 비하면 약간 잉?스럽지만 그래도 스파이시 기운으로 코로 밀어내는 셰리향이 좋은편.

20만원 초반대에 구매했는데 글렌알라키 15년의 CS버젼같은 느낌이 들어서 글렌알라키 15년 좋아하는 사람이라면 추천할만함.

한병 이제 다 비워가는데 한병 더 살까 고민중.
근데 요즘 꽤괞 위스키들이 좀 있어서 이거 아니여도 사고싶은게 너무 많다😭

한 2~3년전에 비하면 위스키열풍이 좀 식어서 여러모로 원하는 위스키 구하기가 쉬워졌지만 내지갑은 여전히 어렵기만 하구나🫠

The most satisfying of the GlenAllachie products I've tried recently:
GlenAllachie Sinteis Series 2, 2015.

Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025, but since it didn't quite make 10 years, it's labeled as a 9-year-old.

The ABV is 58.2%, only about 0.4% off from the previous release, so not a big difference,
but Part 2 was my favorite, the Oloroso combo, so I decided to buy a bottle.

On top of that, the case was apparently designed by a Scottish designer: in the middle of the case, the trunk and branches of a virgin oak are depicted blending together in these mysterious colors, so just seeing the case made me want to buy it so bad☺️

I think another reason I made up my mind to buy a bottle was that, among GlenAllachie's wood finish products, the Oloroso wood finish was also really satisfying.

For a 9-year-old at 58.2%, the nose has no nasty booze, but it's a little on the spicy side.
At first, thick berry aromas come charging right in, and the longer it sits in the glass, the more the virgin oak's vanilla actually stands out.

On the palate, sweet-and-bitter chocolate and spice are in balance. I don't know if the product name gaslit me into it, but the balance isn't bad.

That said, I have a small personal regret: what if the ABV had been a bit lower, or it had been aged a bit longer?

In terms of balance, the spicy side feels a little more pronounced.
Still, for this price, with this flavor, I can totally accept that.

The finish is a bit of a 'huh?' compared to the force pushing through on the nose and palate, but the sherry aroma that the spice pushes back up through your nose is pretty nice.

I bought it in the low 200,000 won range, and it feels like a CS version of GlenAllachie 15, so I'd recommend it to anyone who likes GlenAllachie 15.

I'm almost through one bottle now and debating whether to buy another.
But lately there are quite a few pretty decent whiskies around, so even without this one there's way too much I want to buy😭

Compared to 2-3 years ago the whisky craze has cooled a bit, so in a lot of ways it's become easier to get the whiskies I want, but my wallet is still struggling🫠

Just keep doing it like this, Billy Walker, sir.
Enough with the weird oak experiments, please...😓
