에드라두어 12년 CS 배치 5

이제 오피셜제품으로는 나오지 않는 12년 이비스코디켄터의 하위버젼인듯한 12년 CS 배치 시리즈이다.

뒤늦게 알게되서 사다 마시고 있는 건 배치 5번.
2025년 9월 현재 6번배치가 출시되있는것으로 알고있다.

너무나 에드라두어스러운 위스키 컬러감과 과거 이비스코 디켄터와 같은 12년 숙성(물론 싱글캐스크는 아님),최애인 올로로쏘 셰리, 59%낭낭한 도수의 CS,거기에 나쁘지 않은 가격까지.
강렬한 레드컬러 케이스에 담긴 실물 보면 구매욕 바로 당기는 보틀이 아닐수 없다.

사실 에드라두어는 마셔보면 개인적으로는 늘 호호였기때문에 구매당시에도 큰 고민없이 구입함.

실제 시음시에도 만족감이 꽤 높은편.
시간이 지날수록 맛도리!
너무나도 당연히 배치6도 마셔보고 싶어지는 그런 맛.

초반엔 알콜이 살짝치지만 12년CS임을 감안하면 전혀 문제가 안된다.
곧바로 따라들어오는 말린 과일과 약한 시트러스.
😤😤아주조음!
컬러에서 오는 기대감을 따라 향도 그대로 이어받아서 받쳐줌.

맛도 그냥 정직하고 또렷한 셰리셰리.
잘만들어진 고숙성년수들에서 느껴지는 부드럽고 복잡하다던지, 굉장히 레이어가 촘촘히 야물딱지게 잘쌓여있다던지, 마실수록 다른 기분을 느끼게 해주는, 뭐 그런 느낌이 아니고 그냥 직관적이고 진득하고 달큰하고 확실하고 자기주장 강하고 또렷한 셰리위스키의 느낌이다.

하는 느낌.

한껏 자기주장 펼치고나면 끝에서 올로로쏘 특유의 쿰쿰함까지 잘나타남.

피니쉬도 검은베리류, 얕게 퍼지는 견과류의 고소함과 과일의 달큰함이 사악 퍼지며 지나간다.

전체적으로 만족감 높은 보틀.
시간이 지날수록 째려보게 되는 위스키🤨🤨

CS제품 말고 와인캐스크 버젼으로 세가지 와인캐스크 숙성제품도 출시된거 같던데 그것도 궁금하다.
까베르네쇼비뇽 캐스크로 한병 구매해볼까 고민중🤔

사고싶은건 많고 주머니는 구멍나있고 참 쉽지않네😇😇

This is the 12-year CS batch series, which seems to be a sort of lower-tier version of the 12-year Ibisco Decanter that no longer comes out as an official release.

I only found out about it late, and the one I bought and am drinking is Batch 5.
As far as I know, Batch 6 is already out as of September 2025.

That oh-so-Edradour whisky color, 12 years of aging like the old Ibisco Decanter (not a single cask, of course), my all-time favorite oloroso sherry, a generous 59% cask strength, and on top of all that, a not-bad price.
Once you see it in person in that bold red case, there's no way you don't get an instant urge to buy it.

Honestly, every time I've tried Edradour it's been a big thumbs-up from me personally, so I bought it without much hesitation.

My satisfaction during the actual tasting was pretty high too.
It just gets tastier as time goes on!
The kind of flavor that, obviously, makes me want to try Batch 6 as well.

At first the alcohol hits a little, but considering it's a 12-year CS, that's no problem at all.
Right behind it come dried fruit and a light citrus.
😤😤Love it!
The nose picks up right where the color's promise leaves off and backs it all up.

The palate is just honest, crisp sherry-sherry.
It's not that soft, complex thing you get from well-made, long-aged whiskies, or layers stacked up tight and solid, or something that makes you feel different the more you drink - none of that. It's just an intuitive, dense, sweet, confident, assertive, sharply defined sherry whisky.

I'M SHERRY!!!!!!! I AM SHERRY!!!!!!!
That kind of vibe.

After it's done asserting itself to the fullest, that signature oloroso funk shows up nicely at the end too.

The finish sweeps on through with dark berries, a gentle spread of nutty richness and a fruity sweetness.

Overall, a very satisfying bottle.
A whisky I find myself eyeing more and more as time goes by🤨🤨

They really know how to make it, they really do! Edradour!

Besides the CS, it looks like they've also released three wine-cask-matured versions, and I'm curious about those too.
I'm thinking about buying a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon cask one🤔

So many things I want to buy, and my pockets are full of holes... it's really not easy😇😇

Gotta work hard and earn money! So I can buy more tasty booze!!😋😋
