블라드녹 19년

개인적으로 느끼는 위스키를 보틀로 구매했을 때의 장점 중 하나는 에어레이션되며 변하는 맛과 향 + 그날그날의 기분과 컨디션 + 그날의 온도 습도 날씨..뭐이러쿵저러쿵 등이 적절하게 섞여 같은 위스키여도 매번 다른 느낌으로 즐길 수 있다는 것인데,

그중에서도 심지어 웰메이드 위스키를 보틀로 꾸준히 접해본다는 것은 취미의 영역에서 꽤 재밌는 취미활동이 아닐 수가 없다.

이 인기없는 지역(Lowland)의 19년 PX셰리 캐스크 숙성 제품도 내겐 기분좋은 취미 활동이 되버렸다.

무겁고 각지고 투명한 병.
병 만큼 묵직하고 디테일이 있는 뚜껑.
사람으로 따지면 되게 건강할 것 같은 강렬한 위스키 피부색.
그에 반해 노즈에서 느껴지는건 플로럴과 옅은 시트러스.
팔렛에서 느껴지는 수분기 없이 바짝 말린 달큰한 과일.
팔렛에 이어 달큰하고 고소하게 마무리 되는 피니쉬.
그리고 시간을 두고 마실때마다 느껴지는 기분좋은 다름.

어떤 위스키를 마셨을때 그 증류소의 다른 제품마져 기대하게 만드는것이 좋은 증류소,잘 만든 위스키 라고 생각하는데에 있어 높은 점수를 주고 싶음.

작년 일본 여행길에 어떨까 하고 사온,
블라드녹 19년 PX 셰리가 이렇게 만족도가 높을줄은 몰랐다.

국내는 정식 수입사가 없는지 구하기가 쉽지 않다는게 조금 아쉽.🫠🫠

결론은 마시땅!🤗

One of the advantages I personally find in buying a whisky by the bottle is that the flavours and aromas changing as it aerates + my mood and condition that day + the day's temperature, humidity, weather... blah blah and so on all mix together, so even the same whisky can be enjoyed a little differently every time,

and on top of that, getting to spend time with a well-made whisky by the bottle, again and again, can't help but be a pretty fun activity as far as hobbies go.

This 19-year-old PX sherry cask-matured bottle from an unpopular region (Lowland) has become a very pleasant hobby for me too.

A heavy, angular, clear bottle.
A cap as weighty and detailed as the bottle.
An intense whisky "skin tone" that, if it were a person, would look super healthy.
By contrast, the nose gives florals and light citrus.
On the palate, sweet fruit dried bone-dry, without a drop of moisture.
Following the palate, a finish that wraps up sweet and nutty.
And a pleasant difference every time I drink it with some time in between.

I think when one whisky makes you look forward to even the other expressions from that distillery, that's what a good distillery and a well-made whisky are, and I'd give it high marks on that front.

I had no idea the Bladnoch 19 PX Sherry, which I picked up on a "why not" on my Japan trip last year, would be this satisfying.

It's a bit of a shame that there doesn't seem to be an official importer in Korea, so it's not easy to get hold of.🫠🫠

Conclusion: delish!🤗

Hmm... now I'm curious about Bladnoch before Nick Savage too.🤔🤔
