아벨라워 18년 더블캐스크

몇달전 지인 제주 여행길에 부탁했던 아벨라워 18년 더블캐스크피니쉬. 😊
아부나흐 만큼이나 다시 찾고 싶게 만드는 아벨라워 제품.😀
뚜따 직후보단 두세달 정도 에어레이션된 이후가 진심이다.😤

맛보단 향이 좋은 편.
PX와 올로로소 밸런스가 꽤 좋다.
달큰하고 끈적끈적함이 시간이 지날수록 깊어진다.

적어도 노즈에서 만큼은 18년 숙성임에 끄덕끄덕.
피니쉬도 긴 편이라 만족도를 높여준다.
맛이 살짝 비는데 도수가 3도정도만 높았더라면 하는 아쉬움이 든다.

그래도 어쨌든 구형과는 다르게 700미리 제품이고, 개인적으로 취향하는 셰리캐스크 조합에 면세가로 23정도였어서 가성비까진 아니지만 대체적으로 나쁘지 않은 구매였다고 느껴진다.

은근히 가벼운편이라 아무생각 없이 쪼록쪼록 홀짝홀짝 마시다 보니 빠르게 비워지는 중이다.
(아?그래서 43도로 출시항공가!?😅)
역시 맛있을수록 빨리 비워지는듯😇😇😇

1/3 남은 지금이 딱 가장 좋다고 느껴졌으니 바이알에 좀 옮겨놔야겠다.

다음엔 또 아떤 아벨라워를 경험해보까나~~~

The Aberlour 18 Double Cask Finish I asked a friend to pick up for me on their trip to Jeju a few months ago. 😊
An Aberlour release that makes me want to come back for more just as much as A'bunadh does.😀
It really comes alive after two or three months of aeration, rather than right after opening.😤

The nose is better than the palate.
The balance between PX and oloroso is pretty good.
The sweet, sticky character gets deeper as time goes on.

At least on the nose, I nod along - yep, this is an 18-year-old.
The finish is on the long side too, which boosts the satisfaction.
The palate feels slightly hollow, though, and I can't help wishing it were just about 3% higher in ABV.

Still, unlike the old version it's a 700ml bottle, it's a sherry cask combo I personally love, and at around 230,000 won duty-free it's not exactly a bargain, but overall it feels like a pretty decent purchase.

It's surprisingly light, so I've been mindlessly sipping away, sip after sip, and it's disappearing fast.
(Ah? Is THAT why they released it at 43%!?😅)
The tastier it is, the faster it goes, as always😇😇😇

With 1/3 left right now, it feels like it's at its very best, so I should transfer some into vials.
